Numerous obstacles that have stalled development in this area, primarily in the form of regulatory lobbyists and patent control by the entrenched players led him to pursue an industry in which the primary technical limitation in the passenger vehicle domain — battery weight — becomes an advantage, in the form of additional traction. He soon became the largest electric tractor manufacturer in the world, and continues to innovate in this field. An example of his work:

  • it's possible that Cobasys (Chevron) is squelching all access to large NiMH batteries through its control of patent licenses in order to remove a competitor to gasoline. Or it's possible that Cobasys simply wants the market for itself and is waiting for a major automaker to start producing plug-in hybrids or electric vehicles.

    Its possible that a law could prevent this particular crime, rather than enabling it, But no one's asked my advice.

Aren't you glad you're not getting all the government you pay for now?
