SmartAboutThings writes: It seems that the Firefox operating system isn’t limited only to smartphones and upcoming tablets, as Mozilla has recently made public its intentions of expanding the technology inside Firefox OS to next-generation smart TVs, as well. This is probably just an announcement of future plans, as it’s hard for me to think that Mozilla will be able to support the development of its mobile team and create a new one for smart TVs, which is a completely different category. According to According to both Mozilla and Panasonic, Firefox OS is an open platform, based on HTML5 and other web technologies, perfectly suitable for personalized and optimized access to web and broadcasting content and services.
