When Slashdot Beta goes mainstream, where will you go?

  • I tried out Hacker News for a few months, got a ton of karma (~5000) and then I quit because their moderation, by paid invisible mods was arbitrary, opaque and with no method of appeal. They cut off people's ability to submit new stories without warning them (if you are logged in it looks like your submissions are still there, but no one else can see them) and if you figure it out that they did it to you there is no way to do anything about it except create a new account. I saw a couple of people who h

    • Over the last few years, slashdot has given us less and less of what matters, and more of what no-one cares about. I hit it a couple times a day now, and spend the rest of my time on reddit.

      Reddit looks too much like Digg to me, so it isn't a decent alternative.
