  • I think for up to 8 gigabit ports, the upcoming Ubiquiti EdgeMax / EdgeMax Pro is a winner.
    I comes ready to go, but the software is Debian Linux, so we don't need to trust Cisco/Juniper/...
    If you can get by with 3 gigabit port (using VLAN switches you could run 1 gigabit port + 20 fast ethernet ports using just the base router), there's the EdgeMax Lite (has been commercially available for about one year).
    The EdgeMax e EdgeMax Pro are essentially the same (the Pro has two combo SFP/Copper ports + 6 pure cop
