+ - Twitter IPO met with protest against tax breaks, evictions->

Submitted by Anonymous Coward
An anonymous reader writes "While Twitter employees celebrated the company's November 7 public offering, a coalition of activist groups protested outside Twitter's San Francisco headquarters. The organization San Francisco Rising faults Twitter for taking advantage of tens of millions of dollars in tax breaks that could have been spent on social services and for the rise in evictions and housing prices since the tech giant moved in. Many used the hashtag #ThrownOutByTwitter to express solidarity online."
