itwbennett (1594911) writes "When most of us think about workers being replaced by automation, we imagine robots on assembly lines, and surely the decline in manufacturing jobs has been one of the major economic trends in the United States over the late 20th and early 21st centuries. But the change hasn't stopped there. Automation is reaching into 'skilled worker' territory — even jobs in payroll, HR, and (gasp!) writer aren't safe."
