cagraham writes "Business Insider has confirmed AT&T laid off members of their AdWorks sales team in Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago. AdWorks is a recent venture by AT&T, which aims to offer companies an easy way to purchase targeted ads across mobile, online, and television platforms. Since AT&T provides all three of these services, they claim to be able to find audiences that businesses have so far missed. AT&T isn't the first large company to struggle with mobile ads, however. The world's largest mobile ad firm, Velti, saw a 47% decline in year-over-year revenue last quarter."
