So you'll hear the concept applied to things other than microprocessors. Sometimes, trouble ensues. Want to know one way to tell if an EV geek is trying too hard to impress you? Whenever they mention Moore's Law as an example of how quickly electric cars are going to take over the world. It's simply not true. The problem is battery cells don't follow Moore's Law. Instead, they improve around 7% a year in cost-performance. So call us in 2020 — when things may get interesting. In the meantime, facts are funny things. When an EV advocate backs you into a corner--this is the tipoff."
