+ - How to detect earthquakes with FM radio->

MickLinux (579158) writes "The authors of an interesting article describe how various phenomena, including meteors, storms, and earthquakes, each cause middle-atmospheric scattering of FM radio signals, each with their own characteristic signal.

Not only do they tell how to modify a normal FM radio to serve as a detector, but they show the various anomalies presented by each phenomenon.

Earthquake-caused anomalies increase in duration logarithm-linearly with shallowness and magnitude of the earthquake."
