Submission + - Some Jerk Parked Illegally In A Handicapped Spot? Now There's An App For That 1 1

cartechboy writes: Well, Miley Cyrus has done it. George Costanza too. Few things make humans as angry as spotting cars without handicapped decals parking in one of those blue parking spaces. But, wait for it, now there's an app for that. Texas-based non-profit Parking Mobility allows you to quickly use your phone to report drivers who use parking spots meant for the disabled. Just snapshot the back of the car, parking space, and windshield (To get license plate, illegal park job, and lack of disabled parking tag.) The app stores and tags the time, date, and location of the photos and submits them to local authorities. Initially, this helps cities understand the extent of the problem. To generate actual tickets, volunteers would be required to post app reports.
