cartechboy writes: One year ago, a 22-year-old student at the University of California, Berkeley invested $30,000 — the totality of his life savings at the time — into Tesla stock. As Tesla stock has taken off, that original bet has now turned into approximately $250,000 in paper value. Yes, Patrick Hop's friends thought he was crazy at the time, but he apparently always responded with: 'Tesla's gonna be huge.' Now Patrick makes appearances on CNBC. His plans now: 'probably buy a Model S.' Of course.
