SABRE can operate as an air-breathing jet and a rocket using stored oxygen to burn. Science minister David Willetts says it will create 21,000 engineering jobs in the UK, and help Britain take ten percent of the space technology market.
In practice, failures in system development, like unemployment in Russia,
happens a lot despite official propaganda to the contrary.
