mattydread23 (2793761) writes "Today, the 3D printer market is plagued by fragmentation — each printer requires different control software and might use different versions of 3D object files. Microsoft aims to change that by building a 3D printing platform into Windows 8.1. The company also promises to stock 3D printers in its stores — and so far, it seems to be living up to its promise."
