Bismillah (993337) writes ""For two days the Red Team launched attacks against the Blue Teams’ networks and they had to defend, report and keep their systems running." Locked Shields 2013 took place in last week and apparently, 250 people in eleven locations in Europe joined in.

With nine countries participating and the exercises having started in 2008, it seems pretty conclusive then that "state sponsored hackers" exist...
