Submission + - Government Throws the Book at Lance Armstrong

theodp writes: In 2000, the U.S. Postal Service celebrated the accomplishments of juiced HR hitter Mark McGwire by offering the public 8.25 million 33-cent 'New Baseball Records' stamps. On Tuesday, the Justice Department filed a case against Lance Armstrong and his company to recover triple the amount of the sponsorship funds the USPS spent to sponsor the cycling team under the False Claims Act, which could bring a total of more than $100 million in damages, arguing that Armstrong was 'unjustly enriched' through the use of prohibited drugs.
