+ - Is Apple's Interest in Beats Streaming a Response to Stalled iTunes Revenue?->

DavidGilbert99 writes "Apple's iTunes revenue is likely to top $8bn in 2013. It remains the world's largest music store, but in recent quarters revenue growth has plateaued despite selling over 70 million new iPhones, iPads and iPods.

While the unavailability of music and film in some new territories is certainly a factor, streaming services like Sportify, Pandora and Netflix will also have had a major impact on Apple's revenue.

As the company's plummeting share price comes under unprecedented scrutiny, Apple has been holding talks with Beats CEO Jimmy Iovine about the company's new Daisy streaming service.

Is this the answer to Apple's iTunes revenue stagnation?"
