itwbennett writes "Microsoft and Symantec have dismantled a botnet that infected as many as 8 million computers over the past two years. Computers infected with the Bamital botnet were used for click fraud on online ads as well as for identity theft and DDOS attacks. An effort to clean up the infected computers is under way."
