uigrad_2000 writes "If this scoop from Arstechnica is accurate, then we are about to see the end of backscatter X-rays in airports in the U.S. Interestingly, it is not because a congressional committee found them to be unsafe, but because the manufacturer (Rapiscan Systems) failed to provide updated software by a previously agreed upon date."
