+ - IPCC Climate models from 1990 are on target with today's real temps->

skade88 writes: In 1990 the IPCC designed a computer model to predict global temp change and global sea level rise. The temp change prediected from 1990 to 2010 was 0.35 – 0.75 C. The actual temp change between 1990 and 2010 was 0.35 – 0.39 C. This shows the temp models were spot on. When it comes to sea level rise it actually under estimated how much sea levels would rise. The IPCC climate model predicted a sea level rise of 2.0 millimeters per year—it has actually increased at a rate of 3.2 ±0.5 millimeters per year. This is not too surprising since most climate scientists at the time thought a 2.0 millimeter sea level rise per year was a bit conservative. Check out the full article on Ars for more details!
