Submission NHS bowel cancer test delayed by IT glitch ->

dgharmon writes: "IT problems have led to a two-year delay in rolling out a bowel cancer test that could save thousands of lives, the Department of Health has admitted".

"BCSS bowel cancer screening system .. PCT Exeter System X 84 .. Open Exeter Database Server .. The live environment consists of Redhat, Tomcat and Apache set up on BCSSBIWEB1. Redhat and Oracle client are on BCSSBIAPP1 with BCCDMI running the Oracle database in a Unix environment.
