jfruh writes "If you hadn't heard, an extremely minor social media controversy broke out this week: Instagram (owned by Facebook) stopped using Twitter's Card media interface, meaning that users who post Instagram photos to Twitter will create a tweet that shows either a miscropped photo, or just a URL linking back to Instagram. The dispute arises because both companies want you to look at the picture on their site — and neither particularly cares what people who use both sites want."
