+ - Gigabyte Brings 4K Support to PC Motherboards

jones_supa writes "Taiwanese PC hardware company Gigabyte announced a series of motherboards capable of outputting the 4K UHDTV video standard (3840×2160 px). Image is derived from two mini DisplayPort connectors capable of transmitting 10Gbps per port. The reference setup included an industrial EIZO FDH3601 monitor, the Intel HD Graphics 4000 GPU and Windows 8. Model numbers for the boards will be Z77X-UP5 TH, Z77X-UP4 TH and Z77MX-D3H TH."
