+ - Google and Samsung Introduce $249 Chromebook->

Submitted by

redletterdave writes "In the same way Amazon and Barnes & Noble struck gold by releasing their own tablets at less than half the price of an iPad, Google and Samsung have realized that laptops can work in the same way. At a San Francisco media event on Friday, Google and Samsung announced a brand-new Chromebook, which starts at the extremely competitive price of $249. Even though the new Chromebook is very similar in size, weight and shape to Apple's MacBook Air, customers that choose the Chromebook over the Air would save anywhere between $750 and $1,169."
