Submission + - C++ goes to 11 (theregister.co.uk)

networkBoy writes: ISO has ratified the latest C++ standard, C++11. It brings C++ into managed language territory (the story compares it to Java and .NET). Among the improvements is better support for concurrency and multithreading. Automatic garbage collection was set to be part of the standard but was cut.
