destinyland writes "Hasbro just announced Thursday is "Global Monopoly Day" on Facebook. They're attempting to set the Guinness World Record for the most simultaneous players of their new Monopoly variation on Facebook. And they've also slashed the price of Monopoly on the Kindle by 80%, to just 99 cents.

But at least one user complained the game that they're playing on Facebook isn't the classic version of Monopoly, which left them very confused. "Especially when the game asked for my credit card number so I could buy more play Monopoly money using real money from my Mastercard!""
