An anonymous reader writes "So much for the death of PC gaming due to piracy. In just the last 4 days of July, 721,000 copies were sold in the US alone and a million copies world wide within the first 24 hours of release. While video game retail sales show a very slight decline versus last July, we have to consider the success of Starcraft 2 this month, which helped the PC games category to realize a 103 percent increase in dollars over last July,"
