Submission + - Open Secure Wireless for Hotspots->

philos writes: Most people know that nearly everything you do over open wireless networks can be easily snooped. Current wireless security requires client authentication and isn't an option for most hotspot providers. A new proposal for open secure wireless aims to remedy this situation by leveraging the existing EAP-TLS standard without client certificates, in much the same way as HTTPS does not require client authentication unless configured to do so.
