When behavioral scientists are consulted to create the pattern of behaviors the game designers want, isn't that intentionally creating addictive behaviors? Should people be warned that a game has been designed to make them addicted?"

  • I think you'll find that most modern forms of entertainment (including music and television) are to some extent "addictive", to keep you coming back. That's kind of the whole point of the business model.
