Submission DNS Hijacking by major Brazilian ISP

morcego writes: Looks like the old Network Solutions DNS query hijacking is now available, but from a new source. Oi/Telemar, one of the main brazilian broadband providers, is now hijacking all NXDOMAINS queries and redirecting it to This deep disregard for its consumers privacy (and for the RFC) was specifically detected on the dns server, which is provided and the main dns server for its ADSL customers. The secondary dns server is still (as of this writing) unaffected. Most impressive yet, this server (dnserros) is hosted outside the country. Unfortunatelly, OI/Telemar's DNS servers are not usable outside its network, so people with other connections won't be able to test it. How far down can we get ?
