grrlscientist writes "Scanning electron microscopy reveals that the 155-million-year-old theropod dinosaur, Anchiornis huxleyi, which resembled a large woodpecker, was very colorful: it had a black body and wings with several bold white wing bars, and a red crest and facial markings."
