Submitted by dreemteem
dreemteem (1630441) writes "The European Union have introduced a free global positioning system that it claims is almost five times more accurate than the US system currently in use.

  • EGNOS is just WAAS in Europe. It's been usable by a WAAS-capable receiver (at least in the UK and Scandinavia) for some years now.
It's possible that it was just "in testing" previously, but it's been usable.

All the simple programs have been written.
