Submission + - Nominum bashes open-source, promotes own software -> 1 1

An anonymous reader writes: DNS appliance vendor Nominum calls open source "internet's dirty little secret" to try and spread FUD, but the only secret here is that their software and appliances run exclusively on Linux and BSD. Oh, and they were the company contracted to write BIND 9.

    I wonder what Shalowitz was thinking, his claims are pretty outrageous. He's clearly arguing that proprietary is more secure than open source. And we can all provide examples counter to his argument. Apparently all his conclusions come from focusing on BIND and assuming every other open source or freeware product is the same. That's simply not valid.

    But what about djbdns? That's been a longstanding open source project
