+ - Augmented Reality browser goes global

Submitted by nloop
nloop (665733) writes "Layar, the first full fledged Augmented Reality application went global today on the Google Android app store. Using the GPS from the phone it overlays geotagged data from Google Local, Wikipedia, Yelp, Twitter, user submitted "layers", and other sources onto the device's live video feed of its surroundings. An iPhone edition is reportedly under way with an API update needed from Apple first. Terminator vision, finally."
