Jerry Smith writes "http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/8177529.stm tells of a lost Roman city called Altinum, found underneath the ground by aerial photography. From TFA:"This was assembled using visible and near-infrared aerial photographs of the farmlands that currently cover the region, along with a computer model of the local terrain." Link contains movie that might work better with AdBlock disabled."
