"Cheap Trick new "album" is being released not only in CD and vinyl, but in a long-departed format as fashionable as Tang, bell-bottoms and porn-star mustaches — 8-track. Unsurprisingly, finding a manufacturer for an obsolete-format release of the Seventies superstars' latest wasn't easy."

I still use CD and cassette (Score:2)
I had an 8 track as a kid. Since it ran in a continuous loop, it was a great mechanical technology for playing ambient music. Moog synthesizers were just being discovered by artists then
Even if it started as MP3, I still record my favorite music to cassette and audio CD since I travel a lot in rental cars, most of which still don't have satellite radio or USB jacks on the radio.
