+ - Ideas for a Ph.D. thesis?

zlogic writes "I'm about to start writing my PhD thesis, but haven't decided on its topic yet. I've worked with image recognition and feature detection. Could you suggest a real-world image recognition/processing problem that needs solving? I thought up some ideas, but want to do something useful instead of inventing a solution to a non-existing problem."
