Onion News Network is now considered a reliable news source? Keep this crap on idle.

If I wanted to read the Onion, I would go to to the Onion.

    • It is entirely possible that the Slashdot editor thought that this was a real newsclip. Isn't that sadder than if they thought that this was funny to post?

I've never found the Onion to be funny. I've known people who couldn't describe stories on there without practically breaking down in tears from laughing so hard.
But for me, it's never been more than an "Oh, that's cute" sort of reaction.

It's weird how humour can be so subjective.

So let's list the problems here. * No submitter - so we have no one to blame. * Duplicate article - the launch was already well covered earlier in the week. * Offensive - oppressive communist governments = lulz for som, but not for me, apparently. This should be under Idle, since it's not really all that clever.
  • Because I didn't want to read the lame-ass articles related to it. Stop masking Idle as Entertainment or anything else.

I will keep posting this as long as you keep pushing Idle on us.

    Fuck you

    • Idle is really growing on me lately. I never read it, but it is funny how many hateful comments that inane column generates.

  • US no longer lynches Negros.

  • Funny is usually when there is some degree of truth behind. Cannot see any in this clip.
The China Space program is the pride of the nation and queues are as long as everywhere to sign up.
China has money in abundance (real money not debt!)... so making them look like a south park episode of the mexian NASA makes it look double stupid.

It's really too bad that there's no way to turn off these idle.slashdot posts.
  • "Beating people to death is more cost effective" just like lowering a little girl into a tank full of leaches as a cost effective way to fatten them up!
    It's true, I'm not kidding.

Most favored nation, an all day shower of nukes would be too good.

Go ahead, flame me! Communism is a plague, a disease, a raw sore on the Human race's ass!

    • That's right. Communism is a plague. Oh and which country's federal government is spending billions buying up bad debt? There's a piece of blatant socialism right there, whereas China is a capitalist country. It's only people too stupid to realise that the US is one of the poorest nations who don't seem to get that.

But I agree, you should keep on this rant and try and convince as many other Americans as possible you are right. Then maybe China will get pissed off and call in the debt.

I'd find it kind of fun

      • "China will get pissed off and call in the debt"

Sorry Charley, you'll just have to get in line with all the other creditors and we'll get to you when we can.

This is, in fact, the least funny Onion News Network video I've yet seen. Why the hell was *it* chosen to be on Slashdot, if you're gonna show any?

LOLPOLICESTATE. And they sent him with a hammer and nails! What backwards people these Chinese are!

What are you trying to do Slashdot? Shoot yourself in the foot? Worsen your reputation? Jump the shark? Get on Digg's turf? Here's some news, you don't jump from a niche to another, however close, cause in this case you'd alienate more than you would attract.
