Journal octalgirl's Journal: FTC P2P notice 1

The FTC hosted"Peer-to-Peer File-Sharing Technology: Consumer Protection and Competition Issues" workshop is in December, but public comments are due by tomorrow (Nov 15th). If you have something to say about the how P2P file sharing used today or ways it might be used in the future, get your 2cents in now. You know the RIAA/MPAA certainly will.

  • I'm mostly just interested in bittorrent and gnomoradio myself. I thought the agenda of "risks posed to consumers using file-sharing software programs and how to avoid and reduce them" was interesting. I don't have to much problems with that as the only programs I don't have the source code I can inspect is my BIOS and the flash plugin for my browser.

    Anyway thanks for pointing this out.

The rule on staying alive as a program manager is to give 'em a number or give 'em a date, but never give 'em both at once.
