pewterfish's Journal: About Me

I'm currently attending Sussex University in the UK, reading an MSc Embedded Digital Systems. It's a rather more broad-based course than I anticipated (building in sections on comms and DSP in addition to the low-level hardware and network protocol stuff I expected), but it's fun despite the work involved.

My interests include application-transparent VPNs, cryptographic authentication / verification (MD5 and SHA in particular) and low-level clustered computation / emergent systems. If anyone is active / interested in these fields, feel free to drop me a line. I'm currently trying to choose an MSc project and I'd love to get my teeth into something juicy ;)
