Jesus. What the hell happened to my formerly favorite site?

Slashdot has jumped the shark so many times that it's had more airtime than fucking Boeing.

Unbelievable. Spending my time here has actually made me stupider. Hmm. That right there's a good example of the Slashdot Education System. Stupider.

Slashdot is populated by know-it-all fad-hopping teenagers who really don't have a goddamn clue. How do I know this? Many of the retard teenagers who are kids of my co-workers tell me of their Slashdot mod skillz and their trolls which go to +5, Insightful because their buddies mod them up as a favor, and their degrading attacks on normal (experienced and insightful) posters for kicks. They actually claim to win not because they're right, but because they outlast the other guy. They scream louder and use more personal attacks. And their friends who have mod points (as they almost always do it seems) are the arrogant and biased straw that breaks the camels back.

The truth doesn't get moderated up nearly as much anymore, these little punks actually mod strictly based on their personal preferences. They see moderation as a censorship tool and are proud of it. Really. I'm not making this up. These little shits actually laugh about playing Slashdot. The lowest common denominator has taken control, by virtue of sheer numbers. And I can't even bear to mention that Slashdot mods *and editors* are actually biased AGAINST the GPL, Stallman, and GNU/Linux when these values contradict with Apple and their PR machine. Unbelievable. Slashdot itself has sold out wholeheartedly. How low we have sunk. Slashdot could have taught the kids about openness, freedom, and competition; instead, the kids I know (a small sampling, to be sure, but seemingly significant nonetheless) embrace the worst values of modern society and seem hell-bent on destroying themselves through purposeful bad choices and attacks on consumer freedom -- which you would think all consumers would embrace, as it's in their own best interests. Believe it or not, they think their current teenager choices should be forced on everybody, regardless of experience or knowledge. And they're willing to flame and troll everyone on Slashdot to "win".

I'm bitter, true. But we're going to harvest a generation of Hitlers in the next 10-20 years.
