Journal Lumpish Scholar's Journal: What not to say 3

Do not go to someone with a master's degree and twenty years of industry experience, and say, "Gosh, I'm sorry you lost your job, but we've got a heck of a good retraining program at the local community college."

    Now I think I'm done harping on this issue. Shouldn't you be in your remedial math class right now?
  • ... had a master's in Physics, and a 'unix certification'... he might've been able to do physics equations in his head, but he was working at a minimal (not minumum, but not stellar $$ either) wage doing first-line support. Monitoring, really.

    He said it beat working in research.

    Then again, he was scary, and a close-talker. And would stand too close. [GET OUT OF MY PERSONAL SPACE!]
