Journal LupidStupy's Journal: Windows in a manufacturing environment

Is it me or does it seem that when you are running UNIX/Linux based systems in a manufacturing plant that the process runs well and usually when there is a problem that it's related to hardware and not software? I have worked in several plants as a Technician for the computers and in one plant as an Administrator and to me it seems that every single time I use some windows based software to run some lifts, slides, etc that there is always a problem after a certain amount of time. Usually it has to do with some sort of service that fails or some other service not starting because of some incorrect variable or someone looked at the server wrong. In windows XP or Win2000 setup it always makes for a wild time when something goes wrong. Again this is my experience.
