Apparently on slashdot nowadays, "excessive bad posting" can mean one comment that gets caught in a moderation tug of war.
Since slashcode now counts "badness" only in terms of -1 mod points, it's almost ridiculously easy now to get banned for weeks.
Just wanted to add this journal entry to be counted among those getting caught in the giant confusing mess that is slashcode.

My entire subnet at work has been banned only for anonymous postings, but if I post logged in it is not a problem.

Someone -- actually -- two people have noted this bug [sourceforge.net] (2 [sourceforge.net]) on SourceForge even. It doesn't seem there is much interest in resolving it. This is unfortunate. It's also unfortunate that both bug posters had bad attitudes to begin with. CmdrTaco adds enough attitude to bug reports without the posters being asses.
I wish Jamie had taken the time to actually explain what is in place to prevent this sort of thing. I wonder if, for instance, subscribers can get in through a ban unless they specifically trig
