Here's a seemingly useless question. Should the Diet allow for an Empress Aiko?

Notwithstanding a different local law, when a crown' fails to produce an heir, the crown can pass through the eldest married daughter to her husband.

I just thinks its funny that they restrict females from ruling. While it may take a while for a female to be elected in certain cultures, women have often ruled throughout history. Thus, I find the whole story ironic.
