Journal rackman's Journal: I have figured it out. 1

The thing that irks me most....It would have to be people who post information that is outragous and obviously has a slant/spin to it and then wont back it up with a link of some kind of information that led to their enlightenment. Just because you say it or even believe it doesnt make it fact. In order to prove yourself right you must provide proof. People who assume they are right just helps everyone else assume they are a fool. If you want to make a political statement make it educated. Before your research is over you might just change your opinion.

  • You know, if you go back and re-read my comment here [slashdot.org], you'll see that I didn't make any outrageous or slanted assertations. I *did* express my opinion that Bush was motivated by campaign contributions, but did not offer that as a statement of fact - I used the phrase "I"m guessing."

    The rest of what I said - that Bush was responsible for stopping the breakup - to me seems supported by that quote from the interview. It's supported by the timing of the stoppage, and by Ashcroft's role in it. In 5 minutes on G
