Sure, we all make typos, and occasionally we drop words in our rush to post. I'm not innocent, nor am I a spelling nazi. I've never posted in a thread to correct somebody's spelling or grammar.

But there are some mispellings that come up again and again simply because the writer is too lazy to check a dictionary. An otherwise excellent post can be ruined by one of these. I've often wanted to quote a particularly good post, but been too embarrassed to recommend it as thoughtful because of spelling problems.

Here are the correctly spellings for some words that are frequently butchered badly enough to stop me from reading further.

• occasionally
• ridiculous
