W2k's Journal: Slashdot mods

Aren't the options for upmods and downmods rather limited? I think we need some new ones, such as

+1 Cool (to replace the bland and seldom-used Underrated)
-1 Ripoff (copy-paste from website or other person's comment)
-1 Childish (poster is childish - easily spotted, uses the word "Micro$oft")
-1 Zealot (not trolling, just passionately stupid)
-1 Wrong (for factual errors, claiming John Carmack invented Linux etc.)

Obviously, with all these new -1's, Overrated could be made a thing of the past, too. Zealot and Flamebait are possibly overlapping a bit in meaning, so either could be dropped in favour of the other. The others, however, I really miss, especially Wrong.

Ever read those comments where the poster cannot spell, proposes ideas that have been disproved years ago, or makes a case against the existance of his/her own brain?

Hmm, yes. Stupid might be a suitable replacement for Overrated. Fortunately, most of the posts in the "Stupid" category are already downmodded into oblivion in most of the stories I read, except for those where the subject is one of { politics, Microsoft, religion }. There's simply no way to shut _every_ zealot up, but smacking then with "-1, Stupid" would have a satisfying feel to it, I think. :)

Mind you, there will always be zealots. I might get this moderation for posting anti-bush sentiments. (Last time I did it, I was moderated both "Troll" and "Flamebait.")
