ah, I love playing with religious people. Today I have enjoyed a flame war with a guy called Mike Hawk. He loves balance and has many beliefs which probably contradict each other in ways he doesn't understand.
I can't understand how people who claim to have the ability to think reasonably for themselves can follow religion.
please somebody explain it to me. especially you, mr mike hawk. and no shit about balance. I'm only interested in truth.

Why couldn't #1 be "Recognize that your fellow man is a person with hopes and dreams of their own and deserve to not have their rights trampled upon needlessly."?

There is no piece of information that I could give you to prove there is a God
This is what interests me the most about people of faith. Is that more appropriate than "religious people?" They cannot prove there is a god, yet they believe so strongly that they feel the need to tell everybody else of his love and joy.
Of course, this is really only relevant for those who believe in god. as you say there are other religions based on ideals, rather than an omnipresent being.
