Possible adjustment to the rating system (Score:2)
To get from a rating of "n" to "n+1" takes n+1 votes (equivalently, it takes n votes to decrease to "n-1"). Even if you compensate by giving people 15 mod points, people are no going to "waste" their points readily on high-scoring posts.
Also, "-1" can mean a real -1 to -5, and "-2" is -6 or less.
The one downfall is the ".sig changing" or "delayed redirect" troll, which suggests a need to be able to apply a lot of mod points ne
