dacetone's Journal: I can cook!

I just got done making dinner. For most of you, this isn't so impressive, but man, I've never been able to cook anything. I used to joke that I could burn water. But after recieving some sage advice from my mother-in-law on the art of cooking, I decided to try it. I made crispy cheese sticks for an appetizer, which ended up tasting like Cheeze-Its, but very good. For the main course, I made Shepherds Pie, Bernie's favorite, and for dessert, No-Bake cookies and banana bread! Everything turned out surprisingly well (much to my surprise), and it was a hit with both of us :) I guess Bernie'll have to keep me around now, since that was his main complaint was that I never cook!

Seriously, it was a good dinner tonight. I was very very impressed. Now we need to learn to roll our own dough and make our own pizza. Yum...
